my favorite of them all.

With these summer months approaching all that's been on my mind lately - besides graduation is ice cream. Congratulations to Hillside Farms for winning NEPA's favorite ice cream joint. They really do have the best ice cream. I prefer yogurt, but that's just me. My usual at Hillside consists of vanilla yogurt, caramel and of course rainbow sprinkles. Thai Thai won best new restaurant, which I am not surprised at. The food there is amazing! I would suggest the pineapple fried rice.

why the whole body?

I have come to the conclusion that there is something very gross about clams. My boyfriend's parents made them this weekend and I just couldn't stand the smell. I think they are just disgusting. Maybe it is because you eat the whole body...the brain, the heart, the liver, the sand that they eat... it's just totally disturbing. I think that's why I can't eat a lot of seafood - because it's everything! I mean, lately I have been tuning into Bizarre Foods on the Travel channel and I have seen a lot of interesting stuff going on there - a lot of gross things I wouldn't touch with a stick - but all of it seems very unappetizing. I think I'm just a picky person. Okay - end rant.

bistro bistro.

Well, my friend Nicole and I went to her restaurant Bistro Bistro in Kingston for lunch/dinner the other day and the food was great. I order Penna Alla Vodka, which is totally typical. She ordered this crazy Turkey Meatloaf, which at first I thought was a yucky meal, but when I tasted it – Wow was I wrong. That Turkey Meatloaf was amazing. It was spicy and had the perfect amount of seasoning. When we go out next time, I told Nicole to remind me to order that. Number one, anything that has the word meatloaf in it is something I usually steer clear from, but hey, that was some pretty good loaf. It came with a nice spinach salad and penne noodles in some light oil with some vegetables. Pretty, pretty good non? Well, I know what I am looking forward to – my next dinner outing with Nicole! Haha!
